About Us
Our Mission
Becoming L.O.V.E.D. — Ladies of Virtue Empowered by the Divine — is a faith-based nonprofit committed to equipping young women involved in the Texas child welfare system with the support, stability, and life skills they need to successfully transition into adulthood.
We believe every young woman is created with inherent worth, purpose, and potential. Through trauma-informed care, faith-centered mentorship, leadership development, education, and independent living preparation, we create an environment where young women can heal from adversity, build confidence, develop healthy relationships, and prepare for lives of stability, purpose, and independence.
But our work is about more than providing a safe place to live.
We are creating a community where young women are known, valued, challenged to grow, and empowered to lead.
Our Approach
At Becoming L.O.V.E.D., we believe lasting transformation happens when a young woman is supported holistically — emotionally, educationally, spiritually, socially, and practically.
Our approach is grounded in six areas of development:
Spiritual Development
Creating opportunities for young women to explore faith, identity, purpose, and values through Christian mentorship, prayer, Bible study, and service.
Emotional Well-Being
Using trauma-informed practices, consistent relationships, healthy boundaries, and individualized support to foster healing, resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being.
Educational Success
Supporting academic achievement, high school completion, higher education, vocational training, and the pursuit of meaningful career opportunities.
Independent Living Skills
Preparing young women for adulthood through practical skills such as budgeting, cooking, household management, communication, transportation, employment readiness, and personal responsibility.
Leadership Development
Helping young women recognize their strengths, develop confidence, practice leadership, and discover how their voice and experiences can positively influence others.
Community Connections
Building relationships with mentors, educators, employers, churches, volunteers, and community partners that create lasting networks of support beyond residential care.
The L.O.V.E.D. Framework™
Everything we do is rooted in our signature L.O.V.E.D. Framework™:
L — Lead with Love
We begin with belonging. Every young woman deserves to feel safe, valued, respected, and worthy of investment.
O — Overcome Through Healing
We recognize the impact of adversity while refusing to define young women by their past. Healing creates the foundation for growth.
V — Vision for the Future
We help young women turn hope into action by developing goals and practical pathways toward education, employment, independence, and purpose.
E — Empower Through Excellence
We cultivate character, confidence, responsibility, communication, leadership, and the skills needed to thrive.
D — Develop Lifelong Success
Our goal extends beyond program completion. We help young women build the relationships, resources, and confidence they need for continued success in adulthood.
Our Residential Home
Our residential program provides a safe, structured, family-style environment for adolescent girls ages 14 and older who are involved in the Texas child welfare system and require a supportive residential setting as they prepare for adulthood.
Located in Bryan, Texas, our residential model is designed to feel like a home — not an institution. Safety, stability, healthy relationships, accountability, and personal growth are woven into everyday life.
Residents receive individualized support while developing the skills they need to navigate education, employment, finances, health and wellness, relationships, faith, and independent living.
Because housing is only the beginning.
Our goal is to help each young woman leave care better prepared for the life ahead of her — with greater confidence, practical skills, meaningful relationships, and a clear sense of purpose.
Healing. Growth. Leadership.
We don't ask, “What is wrong with this young woman?”
We ask:
What has she experienced?
What strengths does she already possess?
How can we help her build the future she deserves?
Every young woman comes with a story. Our privilege is to help her write the next chapter.
We believe that today's resident can become tomorrow's mentor, entrepreneur, educator, community leader, advocate, or changemaker.
When one young woman succeeds, the impact reaches far beyond her own life. It can strengthen families, transform communities, and create a legacy of hope for generations to come.
Our Vision
We envision a future where young women overcome adversity, discover their God-given purpose, and become confident leaders who create lasting change in their families, communities, and future generations.
Our vision extends beyond a single home. We are building a model of care and leadership development that can reach young women throughout Texas and, ultimately, create a growing network of communities where they can heal, grow, and lead.
Because every young woman deserves to feel loved.
Together, we are Becoming whole.
Becoming strong.
Becoming empowered.
